Sights Máchovo Lake, Czech Republic

Around the lake are historic castles - places of pilgrimage for many tour groups. 8 km from the lake, at an altitude of 604 m are the ruins of the castle Bezděz (XIII century) with a Gothic chapel and sorokametrovoy Grand Tower, where a beautiful view of the lake.

Castle Frýdlant represents a unique combination of a medieval fortress and Renaissance castle. The fortress was built in the XIII century and expanded in the XIV-XV centuries.

Here are collected the beautiful collection of glass and porcelain, ancient weapons, tobacco pipes. Also in the locks have a unique children's room with toys for the late 19 th century, the rooms, art gallery and a hall for feasts.

You can go on an excursion to the town of Novy Bor with a visit to Glass and workshops on glass painting, or a rocky castle Slope - the former robber fortress monastery of monks and hermits.
