Import and export of foreign currency is unlimited, but amounts of over 1 million forints, or their equivalent in foreign currency must be declared (in case of violation of the rules of criminal proceedings). Without proper documentation of the currency can be brought out no more than 100 thousand forints. If the entry was imported currency worth more than the above, when crossing the border is recommended to complete a declaration, because only this way can subsequently take out all the unspent amount.

Import and export of local currency is limited to 350 thousand forints per person without restriction at face value banknotes. Must be maintained until the departure of certificates issued by the exchange in formal settlements and containing passport number, because when leaving the customs authorities may ask for them.
