The place abounds in historical monuments and many legends. According to one legend St. Hilarion burned down epidavrskogo dragon on the beach in Omis 4th century, and thus saved from the earthquake Epidavros, barbarian attacks and destruction. The small church of St. Hilarion was built in memory of the Liberator, which became the protector of the province.

Here are preserved two historic churches: St.. Rock on the coast and St. Spirit on Krastatsu. On a hill above the coast, preserved ancient cemetery. The inscriptions on the graves mention the names of the oldest families Zhupa living here since Roman times the old Astara.

Plitvice Lakes - one of the best tourist resorts in the area of Dubrovnik, with beautiful hotels, located in picturesque places, at the foot of historic Mount Spilan.
