Description Otepyaa, Estonia

Otepyaa - is one of the natural jewels of Southern Estonia. Here, from horizon to horizon stretches the wooded hills with sparkling streams, and between the hills, blue lakes surrounded by dense forests. In Otepyaa a wonderful place for summer hiking, walking biking, horseback riding, water sports, nights in tents and fishing. Because of the excellent conditions for skiing true nature lovers called the district Otepyaa "Estonian Switzerland.

In Otepyaa is one of the largest reserves in Estonia. Here you can regain your strength, "recharge" the energy pillar, decorated with the figure of a bear. The Dalai Lama has himself pointed out this place, as the entry point of cosmic energy.

In honor of the visiting Dalai Lama Otepyaa, on the shore of Lake Pühajärv (which in Estonian means "Holy Lake") installed a memorial sign. Near this place the Dalai Lama blessed the lake.

And of course, Otepyaa - a real sports capital of Estonia. In winter, people come here to ride a well-equipped ski slopes for cross-country skiing and ski-jumps.

Well, summer is sailing in a canoe, kayak, fish, go hunting, hiking, cycling, horseback riding, playing tennis, golf and, of course, swimming. Already four times the beach of Lake Pühajärv received the status of "Blue Flag".
