Netherlands Netherlands - a constitutional monarchy. Head of State is King (now - Queen Beatrix). Legislature - bicameral parliament (the States-General). The country has 12 provinces, as well as a group of the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba in the Caribbean Sea.
