National Park "Curonian Spit" was formed on Nov. 6, 1987 Resolution of the RSFSR CM number 423. The National Park is located in the Kaliningrad region, in Zelenograd district, occupies the southern part of the Curonian Spit - a sandy peninsula area of 16 hectares in the south-eastern coast of the Baltic Sea.
