Sights Yaroslavl, Russia

Seventeenth century is called the "golden" in the history of Yaroslavl. He becomes the second after Moscow's largest city in Russia. It was in those days, Yaroslavl craftsmen and were built the now famous throughout the world churches - the Church of Elijah the Prophet, the ensemble in Korovniki, the Church of St. John the Baptist in Tolchkovo with their unique frescoes.

In Yaroslavl opened the world's only museum of a literary work - "Lay," a scroll which was found in 1790 in the Holy Transfiguration Monastery.

Yaroslavl land is famous not only monuments. Lived and worked here the poet Nekrasov, singer LV Sobinov. In Yaroslavl in 1750 Fyodor Volkov founded the first Russian national theater.
