Alicante - surprisingly attractive seaside town located on the banks of the picturesque bay in the heart of the Costa Blanca. Alicante, spread out around a large bay, is a thriving port city. This is a famous tourist center of the coast, in the architecture which uniquely combines elements of Greek, Roman, Moorish and Gothic styles. Here is a pleasant time at the beach and wander through the quiet streets of the old city, which come alive only in the evenings at weekends.

Alicante - the capital of the province of Alicante, is located in the heart of the Costa Blanca, on the arbitrary boundary between northern and southern coasts.

2500 years ago in place of Alicante was the Iberian settlement, which came Greek settlers called Akra Leuke ( "White Hills"). Settlement, grew into a city that came the Romans renamed Lucentum ( "bright city lights"). The Moors called the city in its own way - Al Lukant. Currently, there are two official names: Alicante - Castilian-Spanish version and Alacant - the Valencia language.
