Usually shops in Geneva are open on weekdays from 9:00 to 18:30 and Saturday from 9:00 to 17:00. Shops in downtown closes at 20:00 on Thursday.

If you purchased goods in Switzerland more than 400 francs, you can return the VAT (7.6%) when leaving the country. To do this while making a purchase you must ask the check Global Refund Cheque.
