Car
We do not recommend trying to view Zurich by car: the city is very great people, car rental is very expensive, parking is very rare and also very expensive. Car is better to use when meeting with the neighborhood of the city.

Car rental - all the major companies, and rental cars are presented in Zurich, their offices are located in the airport Kloten and downtown. For example: Avis, with offices at Gartenhofshtrasse 17 (tel. 01/296-87-87) or at the airport (tel. 01/800-77-33); Budget, Office at the airport (tel. 01/800-77- 30), and Hertz, with offices at Morgatenshtrasse 5 (tel. 01/242-84-84) and the airport (tel. 01/814-05-11).

Parking - You have to get a street parking sign with the symbol "P"; these leaflets can be taken to the police of Zurich. Some hotels have their own garages, which are paid additionally and in others, particularly those located in the crowded old city, they are not. You have to find the hotel location nearest public parking. Parking is on the 6F to 10F ($ 3.90-$ 6.50) per hour in most urban garages.

Bicycles
Cycling - a good way to get around Zurich, especially in remote areas. Bicycles can be rented in the luggage compartment train station, Haupbanhof (tel. 0512/22-29-04), for 27F ($ 18) for a day or for 21SF ($ 11.55) at midday. Daily from 7 am to 7:30 pm.
