Antigua and Barbuda Political system

Antigua and Barbuda State is a member of the British Commonwealth. Head of State is Queen Elizabeth II, represented by Governor-General, with local citizenship. Legislative power is vested in a bicameral Parliament consisting of the Senate and House of Representatives. The term of parliament - 5 years. The executive branch is headed by the Prime Minister, who is appointed by the Governor-General.
