Zagreb is located in the center of an extensive transport network. Large modern highway going from the city towards the east, towards Slavonia and Osijek (A3) to the southwest in the direction of Karlovac, Rijeka and Split (A1) and the north-west towards Slovenia and Western Europe. The railway connects Zagreb with Croatia's major cities and neighboring countries. In the center of the city are a major bus and railway stations.

Zagreb Airport is located 17 kilometers from the city. Throughput -1,6 million passengers per year.

Public Transportation presented an extensive network of tram and bus routes, as well as funikulernoy line in the historic city center, connecting the Upper and Lower Town. A plan for construction of urban underground, the first line is planned to open in 2012.
