Namibia Political system

Under the Constitution, adopted on 9 February 1990, Namibia - Republic of the mixed parliamentary-presidential type. Head of State - President (elected for a five-year term). Legislature - bicameral parliament (National Assembly - 72 seats, and the National Advisory Council - 26 seats). Administratively the country is divided into 13 regions ( "district").
