Shops and markets are generally closed on Sundays and on the first day of religious holidays. In each region, and even the city, working hours may vary. This question is best clarified immediately on arrival.

Shops. As a rule, from 9.00 to 19-20.00, lunch from 13.00 to 14.00.

Archaeological sites - from 8 - 9 to 17 - 18 hours each day without a break for lunch.

Banks from 8:30 to 17:00 (break from 12:00 to 13:30) every day except Saturdays and Sundays. Resorts banks work every day.

Covered Market (Istanbul) - from 8 to 18:30 every day except Sunday.

Mosques - open almost all the time, but it is better not to enter during prayer (for about 20 minutes after the call to prayer) and Friday (holy day for Muslims), especially in the morning.

Museums - 8:30 am or 9:30 to 17:00 or 17:30, closed later in the summer (break from 12:00 or 12:30 to 13:00 or 13:30). Most museums are closed on Monday, and Sultan Topkapi Palace in Istanbul does not work on Tuesdays (?).

Government agencies - from 8:00 or 9:00 to 16:00 or 17:00 (break from approximately 12:00 to 13:00), during Ramadan working hours may be reduced. In summer in some cities, agencies are working with 7 or 8 hours and up to 14:00.

Free public toilets are usually in every mosque.
