Qatari riyal (QR, virtually pegged to the dollar), equal to 100 dirhams. In circulation are banknotes in denominations of 500, 100, 50, 10, 5 and 1 riyal, as well as coins in denominations of 50, 25, 10, 5 and 1 dirhams (but in a wide circulation are only coins in 50 and 25 dirhams, chasing other discontinued in the 70 years of XX century, although they are still found in circulation in the markets in the hinterland).
