Slovakia - an independent parliamentary democratic republic, formed in 1993 as a result of the dissolution of Czechoslovakia (the most "young" country in Europe). The head of the country - the president, elected by secret ballot for a term of five years. The highest legislative body - the National Council (The People's Parliament, elected for a term of 4 years).
